My second night in San Diego was very educational. I heard about the swimming pool in the basement of the YMCA and that Thursday night was men's night...only and you couldn't wear a swim suit. I hesitated before going downstairs because as a youngster I hated to get naked in front of anyone else. In fact I never took showers in school because of that. I didn't know what if anything was going to happen but decided to brave it out. I paid a dollar, got a wire basket with a padlock for my clothes.
